Dear Conondale Community,

Thank you to all our families for your continued support, especially around our recent Parent-Teacher Interviews. It’s been fantastic to see so many of you engaging with your child’s learning. We're still aiming for 100% participation, so if you haven’t yet locked in a time, please reach out to your child’s teacher – we’d love to connect with every family.

Like many schools this time of year, we’ve noticed a dip in student attendance due to illness. While we understand that unwell children need time to recover, we are continuing to aim for an overall attendance rate above 92%. Every day at school counts, and we appreciate your support in helping students return to learning as soon as they’re well enough.

This week, we’ve had a big celebration – our students have filled the Fuzzy Bucket! This is a wonderful reflection of their positive behaviour and community spirit. As a reward, we’ll be spinning the Rewards Wheel this coming Monday – a fun way to recognise their efforts and encourage continued kindness and cooperation.

Cono Club has started again on Monday afternoons, running from 2:20pm. We’re looking forward to another great session full of hands-on learning and student-led creativity.

Finally, I want to share some very exciting news. Our recent School Review has concluded, and the reviewers have left Conondale with an outstanding result. I look forward to sharing the final report with you soon, as it reflects the hard work, dedication, and passion of our staff, students, and families.

Important Updates

• Cooking Program for Prep, Year 1, and Year 2:
  Cooking lessons started last Thursday and will continue weekly. It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to build practical skills and enjoy hands-on learning!
• Tuckshop Returns:
  Tuckshop will resume on Wednesday 7th May. Orders need to be placed by Monday 5:00pm for Wednesday’s first break. You can place your orders here: Uniform Shop Link.
• Parade:
  Parade will continue to run from 2:00 - 2:20 pm each week.
• Attendance Monitoring:
  A reminder that direct phone calls will be made for any unexplained absences — thank you for supporting regular attendance.
• Cono Club:
  Cono Club continues every Monday after parade — parents are always welcome to join.

Farewell and Best Wishes to Lisa

Lisa’s last day at Conondale SS will be on June 26th, 2025. We thank Lisa for all her hard work, care, and contribution to our school. We wish her all the very best for her next chapter and know she will be greatly missed by students, staff, and families alike.
