Farewell from Mr Willis
As many of you already know, this will be my final week at Conondale State School. After four incredible years, it’s time for me to hand over the reins and begin a new chapter.
During my time here, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside an incredible staff, passionate parents, and – most importantly – some of the most wonderful students I’ve ever met. Together, we’ve built more than just classrooms. We’ve created spaces for belonging and learning – from the yarning circle and outdoor classroom, to improved wheelchair accessibility, digital screens in every room, and our new electronic sign. Our school has grown not just in infrastructure, but in spirit.
We’ve shared art, music, and storytelling – and even created our own school song, “We Stand Together as One.” We’ve celebrated excellent academic outcomes, supported smooth transitions to high school, and achieved outstanding results in our School Review.
But beyond the achievements, what I will remember most are the everyday moments – the laughter, the teamwork, the shared stories, and the sense of belonging that makes Conondale so special.
Thank you for trusting me with your school and for making me feel part of something truly meaningful. I leave with a heart full of gratitude and pride.
I wish the incoming principal all the very best as they begin their journey with this amazing community. I know they will be welcomed with the same warmth I experienced, and I look forward to seeing Conondale continue to thrive.

Cooking sessions continue this Thursday. These lessons are a great way for students to explore new skills and enjoy hands-on learning. - Orders need to be placed by Monday 5:00pm for delivery during first break on Wednesday. You can order through the Uniform Shop Link.
