Dear Parents and Carers,

Already halfway through Term 3…this term is flying by. Thanks so much for all the check-ins, they really mean a lot. Being Principal has definitely brought new challenges and a whole new level of busyness, but I’m liking the journey.

This term, our classrooms remain focused on delivering high-quality teaching and learning aligned with our School Improvement Focus Areas:

1. Strengthening Curriculum Delivery: We are continuing to deepen our understanding and delivery of the Australian Curriculum—particularly in Mathematics—to ensure every child can access a well-sequenced and meaningful learning journey.

2. Refining Teaching Practice: Teachers are working together to monitor student progress in real time and respond to individual needs more effectively, helping every learner thrive.

This week Jeanette and I will be attending Amamoor SS to share in leaning walks through classrooms. This involves a clear focus and observation of how other classrooms are tackling the new Australian Curriculum. I am excited to then invite Amamoor teachers to Conondale to show off how great our Literacy blocks are.

School Opinion Survey

August 22nd (this Friday) is the cut off to complete this survey. If you haven’t already, please find the link in your email and complete. Surveys are anonymous. The opinions from staff, parents and students are valuable in providing insights to work that can be celebrated and also provides us with areas we can improve. Thanks to those who have already completed.

Whole-School PBL Reward – 15th August

What a fantastic day we had last Friday to celebrate achieving our first PBL reward. So many smiles from students and staff alike. There were some that loved it so much I think they were going to try and convince you to go back there. I had forgotten how much fun ten pin bowling could be. ?

NAPLAN
