Cross Country – Tuesday 18th March

Whether you’re racing for the podium or just aiming to complete the course, we encourage every student to get involved, give their best, and enjoy the event. Thank you to the parents and families who came to cheer the kids on!

Whether it’s organising events, helping with fundraising, or making sure everything runs smoothly, their dedication makes a huge difference for our students and staff. Looking Ahead
With only a few weeks left in the term, it’s great to see the enthusiasm and engagement in classrooms, on the playground, and in our school community. Keep up the fantastic work, and we’ll see you all at Cross Country on Tuesday!
Let’s make it another great week at Conondale SS!
Our whole school approach to literacy! WOW!
Welcome to week 8!. What a great job the class did at the cross country this morning. It was fabulous that we had 100% attendance and everyone ran. In Maths we have moved onto collecting and interpreting data. All year levels have been sorting, categorising, tallying and graphing. In English we have all started our assessment. The Preps chose their favourite story and retold an event. The year 1's have retold the story Awesome Emu and the year 2's are changing the story The Lizard Gang.
Please keep up the great work with attendance and home reading. I really appreciate your support with both these things.
So much still to come this term with our beach day and fuzzy reward (hopefully). We will be working right up until the holidays.

Welcome to Week 8!
Can you believe it? We’re almost at the end of Term 1! Despite the challenges of recent school closures due to Tropical Cyclone Alfred, our resilient students and staff have bounced back brilliantly! It’s been wonderful to see the enthusiasm for learning remain strong. The Year 3-6 students have been working incredibly hard, and as we approach the final weeks, they are showing great determination in their assessments. Every school day counts, and we encourage all students to be at school every day unless unwell. Regular attendance is key to success.
Keep up the fantastic effort, everyone!
A huge congratulations to our Year 3 and Year 5 students for successfully sitting and completing their NAPLAN testing. We are so proud of their dedication, perseverance, and positive attitude throughout the process. Well done!
Our whole school PBL (Positive Behaviour for Learning) focus for weeks 7 and 8 is
‘I am respectful. I look after my property and that of others.’
Students are learning to take responsibility and respect their own personal property, other people’s belongings and look after our school environment.
In the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden (SAKG) program, students have been honing their cooking skills and recently made delicious sushi! A special thank you to our wonderful volunteers Kelly, Lawrence, and Emilly for their time and effort—you make such a difference!
What an incredible Cross Country Carnival we had! A huge well done to all students who participated and gave it their all. Whether running, jogging, or cheering from the sidelines, everyone contributed to the wonderful school spirit!
Get ready for some sporting action! Our students will be competing in the Volleyball Gala Day at Montville State School on Friday, March 28th. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our Year 3 – 6 classroom to display Conondale students’ teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill. Go team Conondale!
A warm welcome to our newest student! We are excited to have you as part of our school community. We know you will make wonderful friends and enjoy your time with us!
Thank you to our students, staff, and families for an amazing term so far. Let’s finish strong!

What a fantastic morning we had at cross country today. With almost 100% attendance I was so impressed that everyone participated and completed their race. Well done! We will hopefully be presenting age champion medallions and house trophy on Monday 24th at Parade. This starts at 2pm.
